The Problem

A local farmer brought in a set of tractor slasher skids that were completely worn out from ground contact during regular use.

Slasher skids take constant abrasion, impact, and wear, while helping the implement ride over uneven ground. Once they wear too far, they stop protecting the machine properly and can start affecting how the slasher runs in the field.

The Engineering Solution

The worn skids were used as the pattern so a new set could be reverse engineered and fabricated.

Material was cut to specification, then the lower skid section was bent to match the required shape and ground-contact profile. The top and bottom sections were then welded together to produce a strong replacement set.

This job combined metal welding and fabrication with heavy equipment component repair.

The Metal Welding & Fabrication Resulting Tractor Slasher Skids

Pinney Engineering Services produced one complete replacement set of tractor slasher skids.

The finished skids were ready to return to service, giving the farmer a practical replacement for worn-out parts without needing to source a full new assembly.

Now if the farmer needs another set or side fabricated Pinney Engineering Services can produce them on demand, quickly.
